The Austin Group effort is charged with only a unification of
viewpoints on some existing published standards (between
The Open Group, IEEE and ISO). No "new development" is allowed
under the project authorization, and ACL's weren't in before.
There may be /other/ efforts in progress in this area, but not Austin.
