attr_get, attr_getf, attr_set, attr_setf, attr_remove, attr_removef, 
attr_multi, and attr_multif are Irix / xfs compatibility functions. You 
should not have to use them unless you are porting Irix applications to Linux 
(or creating applications that are compatible between Irix and Linux).
